Shopping Buddy

Yesterday Hailey and I went to the mall to return some stuff. As we were walking out of the store she said to me, "Mommy, that store fun". So i quickly asked, "Do you want to go to another store?" She said yes, and before i knew it we shopped for 4 hours. (With a little Starbucks stop, where Hailey gets a hot chocolate with whip cream on the side). As we left each store she said, "I like shopping mommy." I think she is turning out just right!

Diaper Free!!!

We are officially diaper free (in the daytime at least)!!! I don't know what we are going to do with all the extra money we'll save. I can't believe its been almost 7 years straight(between the two kids). Hailey has transitioned to using the toilet for all her business. "I'm a big girl now," she says with her hands on her hips.

Lizzy

Hailey was so proud that she didn't just talk-the-talk about holding the lizard

Not so much the animal lover but if Hailey can do it

Lizzy didn't want to leave us

Painting Bowls

We wanted to do something "different" with the kids, so we went out
for a night of pottery painting.

Did!

When you tell Hailey to do something and she already has, she just
responds, "Did!". End of conversation.

Valentine's Day

Riding our bikes and scooters on the strand, destination- Martha's (for breakfast).

Enjoying the warm weather and Big Surf

Climbing on the Sand Dunes

What better way to spend a romantic dinner than with some neighbors- 5 couples and 12 kids. The kids all got along and left the adults alone. It was quite enjoyable!

Fun Run

One minute to go.......passing one of the teachers!

Cool Down

Proud of his medal- 31 laps in 20 minutes!

Hailey was swinging at the park and all of a sudden launched off, landed on her feet, put her hands on her hips and said, "See that Mommy, Big girls do that" I was a little shocked and asked her, "Who taught you how to do that?" she replied, "Papu and Nana". Who Knew?

Shane jumping off the swings gracefully!

OMG

We found some crazy bug in the bathroom this morning. The kids have been looking at it, laughing and giving it one wild ride in the container. Hailey has said, "Oh My Gosh" about 200 hundred times.

Superbowl 10K

Jesse was talking like he could beat me in a 10K race so I told him, "Game On". We planned on pushing the kids in the stroller until there was a little smack talk going on and that is when I decided we needed to make this a fair playing field. So off the kids went with Papa and Papu's to cheer us on. (Thank you)

#1 Fan Club

Jesse in the Pink Tie Dye Shirt -------------- Molly giving her fans a little skin

And the all anticipated results......... We ran together for the first mile and a half. Jesse went ahead and then i maintain the distance between us. I could see him the whole race but i just couldn't go any faster. A few sub 7 minute miles was where i maxed out. Jesse's time 43:40 Molly's time 44:10 I give him credit, he wins hands down! I think he had a lot left at the end, for me, not so much. Love you Bud.

What to do after it has rained 5 inches over night? Hike the horse trails, of course!

The kids evading the hounds
Hailey doing her Captain Morgan impression after drawing a balloon. She definitely has a little captain in her.

Hailey at the Beach

Hailey enjoying the warm California weather...the water, however, was 57 degrees.

The Faux Skiier

The thought of skiing was great to Hailey and she hammed it up for the camera, but when it came to doing business on the slopes, she was done! Some of her acting skills below.

The Adventure Begins

The ride up to the mountains, 2 moms, 4 kids and a dog. Hailey was obessesed with the dog, Sonoma. I think it was the highlight of the trip for her.
