A walk down Memory Lane

Where it all began. We decided to take the kids up to UCLA and walk around. We haven't been in 5 years! It seems so long ago that we actually went there.
Jesse with his Cappuccino Royale-a UCLA staple

Shane was so excited to see the track and wanted to run a lap

Shane all by himself on the track doing the 400m in 1:53. He did it twice!

Doing the 100m dash Shane -21 seconds Hailey 35 seconds

Joe Bruin

Royce Hall

As we were walking back to the car Shane said, "I want to go there (UCLA), they have really good food!"

They're back

Hailey and Shane took a little hiatus from visiting with the chicks, but now they are back playing with them on a daily basis

The kids are so comfortable around the chickens. Hailey holds that chicken like a football, sometimes 2 at a time.

Shane had to talk in front of his class about his favorite animal. Some of the kids choices were- Lions, Gorillas, Snakes.......Shane talked about chickens

Lunada Hike

We took a hike with the Belofskys and they showed us this awesome hike down the cliffs in Lunada Bay to a cave/crevasse that had a little waterfall- who knew?

It was one of Jesse's best days too. The hike was at he base of a surf spot that was going off. He saw Brad out there tearing it up. Jesse decided to go surfing later that day in some of the best surf in a long time. When he got home he couldn't even get out of his van. He was passed out in the car, on our driveway, with a smile on his face for about 15 minutes- Life is Good!

Gearing up for thier last lesson, Hailey sicker than a dog

The people who work at Mammoth are amazing, Shane and Luke with Tye on Sesame Street Chair lift

Luke tearing it up- last run of the trip

Great time in Mammoth, memories that will last forever!

Sledding

The day after the blizzard was beautiful, sunny and loaded with snow. We went to a place called Sledz that had a rope-toe which would pull your tube as you sat in it to the top of the mountain and then you could ride down. My kind of sledding, we all had some pretty crazy rides

Team sledding- Jesse, Hailey, Molly and Luke
Jesse took the tubing to another level. He launched himself with Hailey over the embankment mid-run into the powder. Hailey wouldn't go down with daddy after that, only mommy. Here they are happy together before the launch
afterwards, she didn't cry or anything, just done with daddy

Pete using his brakes, Papa filmed us going down the hill and Pete won for the most spectaular ride. He hit a bump, flew into the air and the back of his heels hit the back of his head while being airborn. The reaction of Pete when he got to the bottom was caught on video- priceless, One fired up sledding boy!

Our videographer -thanks Papa for all the good laughs

Eskimo Shane

Boys playing in a blizzard, couldn't get Shane out there

D'Alessandro's a little shell shocked by the cold. They wanted to experience snow, they got it

The only customer at Ben and Jerry's that day- what are you thinking Pete?

Blizzard

Things to do during a blizzard-

Watch Ghostbusters

Take a cuzi
Experience the snow first hand

Play the addicting game of Scrabble on the Iphone -6 games at once! (Thanks a lot Papu)

Just Dance 2- I think Papa is cheating big time, he doesn't look anything like Shane and Pete!

Being entertained by the Dancing Fools

A nice dinner at home

Some shots of us on the mountain

Watching all the activites

The skiiers

This was Pete's last day skiing, falling off the chair lift 10 ft in the air was not his thing

Mammoth Mountain

We went to Mammoth right after Christmas, Pete and Luke had never seen snow before and were pretty excited! Our place was 250 feet to the Gondala in Mammoth which was key with that many little ones. (that is Pete walking) The snow was unreal, tons of it and powdery on the slopes. It was a great trip with much laughter

First day to the slopes in the Gondola

Hailey's 5 mintues of ski time, she was sick the whole trip and pretty miserable

The boys instructor, his name was Jesse Hailey, what are the chances?

All 3 boys going up the rope toe, Luke was always first
