You know you are in Westfield when.......

-you say while driving down the street, "Hey guys, look at those 2 cute dogs up ahead". And then when you get a little closer and notice it's your neighbors walking their 2 goats Real Crime Reports: - that the hawks are out in full force and to keep a watch on your chickens -2 kids were out playing basketball in their front yard and put a jersey on their dog while playing. The kids went in the house an hour or so later and left the dog outside. A neighbor found the dog in the street and returned the dog back to his home, but the jersey the dog was wearing was missing. A dog can't take it off and it wasn't anywhere in the yard or street. They sent out a crime report to the whole neighborhood to see if anyone had any info -someone saw a coyote cross Eastvale at 6am by the horse rink -someone reported a white van going up Eastvale at 7am (keep your doors locked!) -someone may be trying to poison the peacocks because there was chlorine in a fountain in a neighbors frontyard that the peacocks drink from

Not what you think

Jesse had the great idea of putting a pole in our house. We had a party of about 25 kids the night he put it up and it was a big hit. Not sure what's next............

We are going to have to take the pole down once we start installing the wood floors. Shane said he wants the pole in his room. I'm just waiting for Shane's teacher to ask me about the pole we have that all the kids are talking about, half his class has climbed it!

Blonde Sighting

Hailey and i go for a walk a few times a week with one of the many neighborhood dogs. Yesterday as we were walking we noticed some leaves being kicked into the street under the bushes. As we got closer we noticed it was our long lost chicken, Blonde. She lives in the bushes about 3 homes up from us and hangs out with a black chicken that also got loose. Here's our spotting.......................................

Joke

In the car Hailey said, "Hey Shane i have a joke. Terra smelled Sophie's butt!" (both dogs)

Peacock Feather

Hailey loves to sneak up on the male peacocks who are fanning and trying and pull a feather out. Yesterday she was successful and when i asked her if the peacock cried she said no, it just went, "Ahhhhaaaahahhaah" really loud. She brought the feather in and it was still wet on the tip
and dripping blood- Nasty!

A very Hailey pose

Baseball Opening Day

New team, same faces- Shane is on the Rattlers Baseball team this year with 90% of the same kids as last years team. (the parents have already planned the end of the year party in full detail which is in 3 months and they haven't even played their first game)

Kyle, Shane and Liam getting ready to ride down the road

The kids just love being in the back of the truck riding down the road throwing things to the crowd and yelling. They rode down to the carnival where Shane participated in a dance contest. They judged you on your dance moves and he won. He came back to tell us that he had won but doesn't recall any of the moves he performed. Darn it
