Wada- Camps

I had a proposition for the Wadas- I’ll take their kids all day if they would take my kids all night.  So the deal was sealed.  While Jesse and I were running our Electric race the kids slept over at the Wadas.  This was the cute email that John Wada sent us the next day…………………..

Your kids are a real pleasure to have over!
Yesterday Shane and Kyle decided to do Cagers (Shane) vs. Breakers (Kyle). I think Cagers did some ass-kickin!

Meanwhile, Hailey and Calvin told me they have taken up Zoo keeping.

At the finish line they had these huge balloons that people were hitting in the air.  We grabbed one to take home for the kids.

Camping Carpinteria

5 families went camping on the beach in Carpinteria for 2 nights.  On our way up the kids jumped out of the car in Ventura to run up the sand hill, a must stop.  They did it 3 times, got in the car, and  instantly it smelled like onions.

The campsite was perfect, on the beach, next to a park and walking distance to restaurants, which we hit.  I still felt like we were roughing it, that’s about my extent of camping.

Our tent in the background, the other families had RV’s.  We invited Aidan to join us for the weekend and let me tell you, it made our weekend so much more enjoyable!  Thank you Aidan for distracting our 2 kids.

Morning stroll to the tidepools.  Hailey played with everyone that weekend.  She loved the older girls who ended up having a dance party in our tent.

Blizzardz

These boys never gave up playing for the bronze medal.  Down 0-1, they scored a goal in the second half and ended up playing 2 rounds of overtime.  Came down to a shootout and Blizzardz pulled it out!

Love this picture of Coach Rex with the kids.  Shane is #5

Bouquet

Everyday Hailey gets the scissors and says, “Come on Mom, Let’s go cut some flowers and make a sorbet!”  I’m almost out of vases

Whites Landing

Hailey’s Indian Princesses went to Whites Landing for 3 days.  Perfect conditions.  Hailey was so excited that it was finally her turn to go away.  They got to snorkel, kayak, skits in front of the bonfire, hikes, ropes course and water fights with the boys.

The morning routine of the Buffalo.  It would walk right through the campsite, yards away from everyone.

When it was time to leave the buffalo took a big dump right in front of the dock where everyone had to board the boat.  Hailey had so much fun and wants to go back.
