All the talk in the news and around town was about the huge swell. What better thing to do than to teach the kids about swells. Shane still hadn’t been to school and we grabbed Hailey at 10am and headed to Newport Beach. There was so much hype about the waves in Newport we just parked, rented some beach cruisers and headed to the Wedge in style. It was the only way to get there. A day to remember……..

Shane’s 11th Bday
It was a Slip n Slide Party that lasted all day. We had kids coming over starting at 7:35am and the party ended at 3:30pm! It was a perfect day to have 12 kids running around wet. Many water bucket challenges, water balloon baby contest, and the good old fashion slip n slide.
Shane’s one girl friend who was brave enough to attend. She wanted to come, love Angelina!
Shane has mastered how to get max speed down the slip n slide. We had the kiddie pool at the end of the slide to stop kids from slamming into the trampolines but Shane almost launch out of it
I know Shane really enjoyed the day, exhausting but worth it!
“Hey Kids! everyone in the pool so I can get a picture” -White Trash Pool Party
A great group of kids, fun was had by all

On our way to Mammoth we stopped at the Bodie Ghost town. Pretty cool place to explore

The Westin Hotel in Mammoth
Met up with the Graves during our stay, they worked out at the gym after hiking and swimming!
The main lodge had bungee jumping, rock walls and a zip line that kept the kids busy
The kids, Nicole and I hiked to Crystal Lake
While Jesse and Chris rode 26 miles down and around the mountain
Hailey begged to ride so she rode back the to village with only 1 MAJOR spill- took it like a champ
Twin falls
Ninja Hikers, that’s what they called themselves
earthquake fault
The kids begged not to leave and want to go back next year!
