The headline news for the past 4 days has been about Disneyland and the outbreak of measles and it’s spreading.

So we skipped school and headed straight for Disneyland! The kids had gotten tickets for Christmas last year and we never had a chance to use them. We got park hopper tickets to go to both parks and arrived just as the gates opened. Here is Main Street at noon

Hailey has been waiting for years to be tall enough to go on California Scream, which is super fast and goes upside down. They went 3 times

Pretty typical everywhere we went…..

The difference between Shane and Hailey driving. Serious Stan vs Crazy Carla

We went on It’s a Small World just because we had gone on every ride in the park. As we were on the ride Hailey said, “This would be so much better if it were Rock Out Songs!”

There were a few rides that had waits up to 20 minutes. The kids refused to go on those, too long mom!

Our selfies were horrible but that’s all I got

Toy Story

Scariest ride of the day, Hollywood Tower of Terror

Thunder Mountain-I made Shane “wait” in line for this one since it was my childhood favorite. He complained the wait was too long. Ended up taking 8 minutes

Toon Town because it was the only place we hadn’t been to

The longest ride of the day was Cars 45 minutes and the kids didn’t want to wait. Towards the end of the day we scored Fast Past tickets and got on the ride in 15 minutes. There was a single-rider line and the kids were ok riding with strangers. we ended up riding Cars 2 times in 30 minutes. Perfect way to end the night

We were at the park for 10 hours, rode 25 rides and many of them twice

Last picture of the night with the kid’s souvenirs, Shane got Perry the Platypus and Hailey got 3 Peas in a Pod. We stayed until the parked closed and both kids passed out in the car. I checked my phone when I got home and it recorded that we walked 11 miles that day. It was a perfect day at Disneyland! Hope we don’t get the measles
