Kern River

The Belofsky's called last Sunday to see if Shane could join them for 4 days, they were headed to the Kern River.  30 minutes later I looked at Jesse and told him that sounds fun.  We booked the only and last spot available, a 5th wheel.

The 5th wheel at the campground.  It was nice and spacious, felt like a hotel inside
The kids rode their bikes everywhere, Hailey on her way to fish
The fishing spot, Shane was bait boy.  Helping everyone fish
We (Joshua and Aidan) caught 4 fish for dinner.
Joshua and Zack set some craw fish traps and cooked them up over the fire to eat
Pudgie Pie time (a midwest thing), i called them Booty Makers on accident.  I haven't heard the end of that one

Jimma is an awesome cook, even while camping.  The first morning she made a gourmet breakfast for 12 over the campfire.
 Happy Campers- breakfast served
 Boat races in the stream

We kept trying to catch anything
Minnows were about all we caught

Hailey never gave up

At a fish hatchery.  Shane's knees are on the sign that says, "Do not touch water or fish".

When these 3 get together they like to dance and DJ

Trying out all the Belofsky's new toys

We drove up to the Trail of 100 Giants to see the Giant Sequoias

Hailey was in heaven taking care of Buster

Our camping group for 4 days.  What a fun, spontaneous, and relaxing trip.

Women’s soccer

We went to the Women’s National Soccer  team vs Mexico.  Wasn’t sure who would have more fans but the USA Pride was overwhelming more.  Tons of people from PV and Shane spotted Kobe Bryant near us.

Carpinteria Camping

3rd annual camping trip with this great group.  Girls dominate the trip which is so awesome for my kids.  Hailey gets girl time and Shane has to talk to the opposite sex.  Luckily for him the girls are sporty and play soccer, football, tag, volleyball and kickball.

We had quite a few injuries with all the sports that were played.  Crazy thing, it was the adults that were getting injured, I guess we need to get out more
