San Elijo
We got invited by the Agonias to join them camping at San Elijo. We arrived late Friday night and set up camp in the dark. There was talk of rain but we don’t believe in that stuff anymore
Guess what we woke up to at 6am, lighting, thunder and rain. It was pretty awesome for the first 45 minutes, until the tent started to leak.
The rain went away shortly after we moved all our stuff back into the car. We had breakfast at Bull Tacos - inauthentic Mexican . The greatest idea every, a taco shack inside the campground, 2 minute walk from our tent
The view from breakfast, it felt like Hawaii, wet and warm
Camp Store
Then another rain storm hit so we went bowling and out to lunch. Don’t ask me why we had 3 tents in our car but we did and set them all up just in case it rained that night. Looks like we had a party on our campsite, nope, just a family of 4 in those tents
A little afternoon dip before dinner
Amber and Kyle enjoying the sunset
Jesse taking photos with his iphone
We lucked out and the rain left for the rest of our stay
Hailey and Bella getting along
The next morning, was totally worth braving the storm the 1st night
The kids loved riding down to the river mouth to swim
Caleb’s way of taking his sister’s boogie board to the river mouth
These kids played hard, this never happens in the car

Footgolf
After the kids saw pictures of Jesse and I playing footgolf, they wanted to go. Everyday Hailey would say, “We going today?”.
Jesse and I improved our score from last time and didn’t feel nearly as awkward this time.
He and I followed the rules this time and wore a collard shirt and argyle socks. The kids loved playing

Getaway
8 months late but we finally got around to celebrating our 15th Anniversary. Just 4 more months and we can celebrate again! Jesse planned the whole trip and told me nothing, just what to pack for 3 days. He said we would be local and that’s it. I loved going along for the ride. It was a weekend of firsts. We showed up at the Hilton in Long Beach and took at Harbor Cruise
Then headed to the Queen Mary, which I have never been on. We took a haunted and a historical tour. Our tour guide Tony was so fired up and enthusiastic I could have listened to him all day.
Inside the boat where the 1st class passengers shop
I was trying to figure out with my hands how to hold up LB for Long Beach, it took some thinking…………
I sent Jesse to the Isolation Ward, I think I will put one of these at home!
We were 45 minutes late to dinner, thanks to Tony but we had a great dinner at Sir Winston’s on the ship
Time for some Hydro biking though Naples. They told us we didn’t have enough time to make a circle around the harbor and to just turn around at the bridge
Not going to happen, we chose not to listen
Jesse barely making it, I even had to duck
3.5 miles on the hydro bike –no problem
I haven’t felt this awkward in a long time. We showed up to a golf course with tank tops and soccer balls and people were staring at us.
I guess the place only opened up 4 months ago and they are not use to us Footgolfers. Same rules as golf, just kick it.
A very unusual scene and loving it
Seems like it would be easy, but it ain’t
Jesse needed some help with his toe kicks
Paradise
They let us on the course even though we didn’t have collard shirts and argyle socks like they suggest. I loved that all the golfers were staring at us
A nice romantic Italian dinner in the LBC
I enjoyed every minute of our getaway. There is nothing I rather do than spend time with Jesse
