Treehouse

Hundreds of people walked past this pallet in front of my office and saw nothing but trash.  Hailey saw her new treehouse. Love her creativity.

Fish

Kids couldn't walk by this without posing

Shhhhhhh

My new(ish) hobby.  Giving friends parking tickets!  Only a few have figured it out and know it's me.  The mass texts, emails and stories that come out of these are hilarious, and I don't discriminate.

Just livin'

We ended up at the beach, grabbing a coffee and just chilling one morning. Kids made lazy sand chairs and thought they were super cool!

Korean style

Date night Korean style.  Jesse and I went to a Korean spa, something out of our comfort zone.  A friend told us about it and made the reservations for us, as it might be better to make it in Korean.    We definitely felt like the newbies.  We were separated for the first 2 hours as we enjoyed the jacuzzis hot and cold, 1/2 hour body scrub and massage all naked in a group setting.  I felt like a slab of meat the way they handle you but it was awesome.  When all done you put on the spa issued outfit and went upstairs, coed, where there was a salt room, jade room and a cold room that Jesse and I hung out in.  We ate dinner at the cafe sitting on the floor, see below.  3 1/2 hours later we were good to go.  It was actually a lot of fun and very relaxing
I felt like I loss 5 pounds of skin.  We both said we would go again!

Corona Weekend

The girls played in their first tournament where they were up against year older teams.  They did awesome and came in 2nd place.  Hailey just loves her teammates, this is a special group of girls.  She feels so comfortable around them, she even spent the night with Madi and her family in Corona while we went home.

 Starbucks break between games
Hailey's favorite- Madi in the middle

Magic Mountain................finally

All Shane wanted to do for his birthday was go to Magic Mountain.  He invited 3 friends and only one was brave enough to come, Kyle.  I told Shane i would only go on a weekday, but little did I  know they aren't open on the weekdays during the off season.  Shane waited 4 months to celebrate, it wasn't easy.  The week after New Years Magic Mountain was open so we went.  We got there before the gates opened and the kids were amped
The place was empty, we headed straight to the new Twisted Colossus
There was no walking with these 3 kids
First ride of the day and we went 2 times in a row
The kids were fearless and went on EVERY roller coaster at the park.  I was pretty amazed
Shane's favorite ride X2, which makes you flip forward and backwards while on the coaster
The longest line was about 15 minutes and we did most of the coasters 2-3 times
There weren't many kids their age at the park, especially 8 years olds!  The kids said they would get airborn on a lot of rides as their thighs didn't reach the safety bars.
I went on most all the rides but my little sidekick made me go on more than i was planning on
Tatsu was their 2nd favorite ride where you ride on your tummies

The last ride of the night, the biggest loop in the world
And Shane decided to ride shotgun,
Burgers and Milkshakes to top off  the perfect day

Shane said it was his best birthday yet!  Glad it was worth the wait

Parent vs Kids soccer

Hailey's coach has an annual parents vs kids game.  Every kid and sibling are on coach's team vs all the parents.  It was SO much fun, we even had the Coach's dad play(far right).  Kids won 3-2 and it was all out soccer, no holding back!

Bruins

Shane and Jesse were stoked to get tickets to the UCLA vs Kentucky game.  It was one of those incredible games that Sports Center listed  as one of the top 10 games ever played in Pauley Pavilion

Hailey wanted to go to a game after hearing how awesome the game that Shane went to was.  Jesse got court-side seats to the Women's game the next week

Guess who won bingo at half time and got a bunch of loot
More free UCLA Basketball tickets, we just can't say No! Especially when it's vs USC

Poo-Schnitz

Our cat, which we now call Poo-Schnitz has a routine every morning.  She begs at the window for someone to come out and give her lovin'.  If you walk by her without giving her attention she swipes at your leg.  Now that it's cold she's getting less lovin', poor thing.  She really is the coolest cat
