Soccer Loco

Crazy soccer weekend, both kids teams qualified for Sectionals, which is a big deal.
On Saturday Hailey's team played and won Sectionals again!
Jesse helped coach with Jason while Mauricio was out of town
These girls are off to Reno
Shane's team was in the same situation, winner goes to Reno.  I love this picture of Shane, looks like he's shooting a 3!
These boys are fun to watch and know how to have fun
Boys are off to Reno too!
Coach Greg told the boys to dog pile him, his face is redder than his shirt
Shane played so well this weekend and really put his heart on the line
Proud Parents
Proud kids
I'm so happy they both get to enjoy Reno with their teams

Hacking

Shane spent the day with Aidan and went to Dave and Busters.  Shane mastered the jump rope game and was winning Big Time, to the point that the management started to watch him.  All of a sudden his card stopped working and they had deactivated it.  Dave and Busters was suspicious of him hacking the games because he was accumulating so many credits which is all monitored electronically.   They pulled him aside to look at the history of his card use and asked him a bunch of questions, and realized he hadn't been hacking.  The bummer was they told him he couldn't play anymore, he maxed his credits for the day 20,300!  Most people earn 1000 credits in one day and are stoked with that.  Shane and Aidan won 11 major prizes- a Karaoke machine, Pokémon Monopoly, Foosball table, a Giant Minion stuffed animal and .......
a giant Unicorn for Hailey.  What a nice big brother, she wasn't even there!  Shane still had credits he never used.  I think it's the first time that place has lost money
Shane's new best friend who almost got him in trouble
Shane's 20,300 credits- it's hanging on his wall

kids

Hailey has been earning money walking Rascal.  Typically she takes him for an hour walk and jest eats up every minute.  She's working towards earning Horse boots
I can fully appreciate watching Shane play basketball after trying to play against him
Jesse still has some hops

Student of the Month

Shane was honored at school for being chosen by his teachers as the Student of the Month for his grade.  I asked him how he got selected and he said probably because I turned in all my homework.   Jesse and I didn't realize what a big deal it was because Shane told us that his friend Kyle would go as his guest and it was no big deal.  They had a lunch for the parents and the principal talked about the kids in front of the parents/guests that attended.  Turns out very few kids get the award and it's a big honor.  So bummed to miss it but Kyle represented Jesse and I and ate enough cookies and pizza for both of us.
Shane hates the attention and was mad that he got the award.  It meant he had to miss playing basketball at lunch for the reception- only Shane-o.  He's so humble in a funny way, I love it!  At least he got free In N Out coupons, that was worth it!  Proud of him

We love going to Shane's locker during soccer practice and finding all the things we send with him to school.  He swore he brought this home.

Hiking
Hailey was an animal and hiked 3 1/2 miles in snow, but it wasn't uphill both ways.
Tubbing
Guess who?
Jesse rocking his infamous vest
Shane and I had a nice mellow few days, we ate out every meal and that was heaven to me.
