Our Black Friday consisted of playing soccer, after party breakfast at Jason's house. Then off to the tailgating party at the Rose Bowl and football game.
Annual Parents vs Kids soccer Ended in a 3-3 tie and there was no holding back
Tailgate Party at the Rose Bowl for the UCLA vs Cal football game, the winner goes to a bowl game, loser doesn't
Our group was 28 adults and 18 kids and we cooked for the masses

The kids got to witness some real college tailgaters next to us, it was very entertaining

Thanksgiving week
Nat and the boys came out for a week, over Thanksgiving.
Luke, Shane and Hailey spent days putting together the most hilarious video that we got to enjoy on Thanksgiving. It was probably the best gift the kids could ever give/make but it was accidently deleted!
We went to the Bodies Exhibit at the Science Center, definitely a must see.
Painters Tape, Shane's new favorite restaurant
Luke was a bit sick
morning bike ride to Martha's for breakfast. These 2 boys are hilarious, I love hearing their stories
Santa Ana winds brought some beautiful days to be outside
The Originals
For the record, Hai is on her tippy toes
Grandkids
Petis
Turkey Trot time
Hai almost ran the entire 3.1 miles- 31:30. Most embarrassing thing was, my legs were sore the next day
Shane (21:00) and Luke (19:00) they ran almost all out . Proud of them
Bird's eye view of turkey fryers
18 and older
Uncle Jim and Aunt Eloisa joined us for Thanksgiving

Gymkhana
Hailey's was invited to go to a low key horse competition, Gymkhana, that her teacher puts on. Going to the barn to observe this competition felt like being on the moon, so foreign. I know nothing about horses, especially competing. Hailey was so excited to enter and to see all her horse friends again.
She competed in Keyhole, Barrels and Poles. As they were announcing the groups I noticed they had Hailey in the oldest toughest group- Gallop group. I thought to myself, Maybe she is really talented and I have no clue.

Hailey in the blue plaid shirt waiting her turn. She told me afterwards she was so nervous, she had that butterfly feeling in her stomach and it never went away. She's never had that feeling before! I asked her, What about when you take a PK in soccer, she said nope, never. I think the fact that she was with the older group and was riding in the rink all by herself was a little nerve-racking.
She competed well
Every time Hailey gets in the car after horse, we haze her about how horrible she smells. I swear it smells like horse pee. Her response, "That is my happy place and I love that smell"
Usually Papa and Papu call to see who's playing what sport at what time so they can come watch. When I told them Hailey was competing on a horse Papu joined me on Mars.
Hailey did great and won a few ribbons. She got in the car and said, "That was so Fun!" I was kind of hoping for the opposite but glad she's happy
