Easter

The Easter baskets this year.  We just got home from vacation and I wasn't motivated to go buy a bunch of junk.   The kids loved it
 the hunt
Our chickens are like dogs, they follow us everywhere

the beasts at our house loved the egg hunt
I hid the eggs so well this year I exhausted the kids
Our professional chauffeur to Easter Brunch
Shane's driving face. Could Shane look any worse?  don't worry, he was trying to
Easter brunch at the club, the before picture.  The after brunch picture we all look 10 lbs heavier.
(I knew Shane could smile)

Roma

 The Colosseum

We did a lot of audio tours with Rick Steves, here was one about Circus Maximus, the chariot racing
 Typical Lunch

Tiber River had a beautiful river walk
 Who did it better?

Santa Barbara (Roman) Daisey's growing all along the wall
Jewish Ghetto
 Trevi Fountain
Much larger than I imagined
 St. Angelo's Castle

The views from the Castle were insane at sunset

Perfect way to end our last day in Rome, roof top views at sunset

Jesse and I had the best time.  I have to praise him for all the planning he did for the trip.  It couldn't have been more perfect.  We saw a ton, but didn't feel overwhelmed and just went as we felt.  Usually after 2 weeks of being away from home you are ready to go back home.  We didn't no feel this one bit.
We averaged about 13 miles a day and enjoyed every step
Here's to 20 years of marriage

Tuscany/Siena

Driving to Rome via the countryside of Tuscany.  It was so lush and beautiful.  We stopped at a winery but decided to push on.  We had a lot planned

Europe isn't known for public WC's along the road, so we had to leave our mark
Stopped in Siena for a few hours to take an audio walking tour and see the sights

The famous Piazza del Campo, where they still do horse races around the square

So easy to find good places to eat in Italy
off the beaten path to the Saturnia hot springs.  View from the road

360 blacked-out our crotches for some reason
We drove a little out of the way to get here but so worth it
If it wasn't for google maps we never would have found this place.
We didn't have towels and just used the drive to Rome to dry off!

Rome

Jesse just loved how the scooters acted like they were in a race at every stop light
T
The Pantheon
Inside, the ceiling had an opening and the sun could shine through

I was wondering why Jesse wanted to hang out in the fancy shopping area.  He was using Dior's wifi to download!
walking through the parks
Obelisks from Egypt are in every square
These pink trees were in full bloom throughout the country but this was the most unusual
walking to Vatican City, the busiest place we went to on our trip
Made it through security, searching for signs of the Pope.  Thanks to Rick Steve's audio tour, he guided us through Vatican City describing everything
No words to describe St Peter's Basilica -so massive
Jesse's illegal picture inside the Sistine Chapel.  We spent a lot of time in here but it hurts your neck to look up for so long.
I loved this street performer
Soccer tickets to see Lazio vs Udinese, 10 minutes from our hotel.  It's not easy to get tickets, you need a passport and there's no scalping tickets
after being throughly frisked 2 different times
It was fun to be in a European Football Stadium and experience it
