Van Halen
Our friend, Chris, is a huge rocker, though you wouldn't know it by the looks of him. He had this idea, “Why don’t we take the boys to their first concert. It would be soooo cool if it was Van Halen!” I thought he was joking at first, but he was totally serious. His 91-year-old boss has a box at Staples, which comes with tickets to every show, so he hit him up and got tickets for 8 of us to go.
Here are the boys giving Chick a hard time before the concert
Shane was pretty into the concert, but this was definitely the BIG hit.
Kool and the Gang opened, yeah that’s what I said, Kool and the Gang opened. We thought it was going to be a flop, who has an R&B band open for a rock group? But they totally got the crowed going.
This is a stock photo, but had to capture the memory of David Lee Roth’s pants and scarf. He still had his high kicks and jumps, though it took 5 songs of warming up before he attempted one.
Last Day of School
Shane’s last day as a 2nd Grader with Mrs Lomino. I asked him if he was going to be sad that school was over and his response was, “Yes and No” Shane never once complained about going.
Shane’s report card was great of course and his teachers words were perfect, “Shane is well-rounded, Highly capable student. He is kind and considerate of others and it has been a pleasure to have him in class. His performance in our class musical was excellent…” blah blah blah…..
The after Party with a bunch of friends and one sweet pool with a waterslide
Hailey was extra excited about her last day of school because all she wants is to go to Shane’s school. She keeps talking about how kindergarten is so much more fun. Kindergarten here she comes!
