D’Alessandro’s week 1

Nat, Mike and the kids week one.  We had perfect beach weather all week and took advantage of it many times.  Hailey has taken up boogie boarding and is catching a wave with Pete.  What you can’t tell in the picture is that Pete caught the wave before it broke and Hailey jumped in afterwards

We went to Venice beach and Luke, Pete, Shane, and Jesse were all chosen to be apart of the act, amongst 100’s of people watching.   The street performers did some crazy acrobatic acts.

Touristas

Jesse took a day off and He, yes He, decided that we all should go to the Jewelry District downtown.  (The main diamond on my engagement ring fell out)  We ended up hanging out all day doing the touristy stuff we have never done.  We went to the LA Library to check out the lobby, it has some great artwork hanging form the ceiling.  We then took the Angels Flight railway and ended up at a Market Place where we had a nice lunch

 

We hopped on the Metro and went to Universal City Walk to hang out.  Hailey loved the pole in the metro car.  She spun around that thing with a huge smile on her face for over 20 minutes.  Notice the 2 businessmen in the back trying to ignore her.  The car was pretty full and she was not holding back

  

Our stomping grounds.  The kids had a blast, they think Hollywood is so much fun.  Shane wants to be a hobo for Halloween and was all excited to be able to do some research for his costume.

Summer Fun

We headed over to San Pedro to visit the newly opened USS Iowa with the Jennings and Cathy and Duane

Slip n Slidin’

We had perfect weather to roll out the slip n slide while the Jennings and Cathy and Duane were visiting

Camp Camp

I told the Wadas that I wanted to take their kids for 2 different weeks over the summer to help them but more importantly for my sanity. By doing this their kids wouldn't have to do camps all summer long, but better yet, they can entertain my kids. I think the boys were a little shocked when Hailey beat them all at bowling and then won the 500 ticket jackpot in the arcade. Maybe the Wada boys would rather go to camp after all! It's been so great having 2 extra kids around all day long, doing something different each day. Everyone is loving it.
