Balboa Park

We went down to San Diego for 2 nights over Spring Break and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Hobb.  We hit Balboa Park one day and went to the Science Center with Chelsea and kids.

The next day we went to the Wild Animal Safari Park.  Here is a picture of Shane on the tram next to some Somali Wild Asses!

Ear Piercing

The kids and i were at the mall and were walking by Claire’s.  I said to Hailey jokingly, “Want to get your ears pierced?”  She was so excited and said, “YES!” without hesitation.  I told Hailey that we should eat lunch and think about it and on our way out she could get it done.   So 20 minutes later she is sitting in the chair ready to go.  Not scared at all!  Shane thought it was fun too, a gun shooting my sister’s ears, awesome!  Everyone was happy.  She is ready for Easter and Colleen and Brandon’s Wedding.

Shane saw a TV special on Dairy Queen and the invention of the Blizzard and needed to try it.  We took the kids to a Galaxy game vs Costa Rica.  It was a high scoring game with lots of confetti flying in the air

Molly’s 36th Bday

A nice surprise, breakfast in bed!  And then second breakfast from Starbucks.  Not a bad way to start the day.

Fun Run

Rancho Vista had their annual Fun Run.  Shane had to run for 30 minutes, and did without ever stopping.  He ended up running 64 laps, 2nd in his grade.   Hailey had 20 minutes to run and ended up running 48 laps.  She was one intense little girl out there, no surprise!

Blizzardz

Shane’s select soccer team entered a 2 day tournament in an age group older than their team.  Both coaches were out of town so Jesse took over coaching.  The boys played their hearts out and earned a 3rd place medal!  Jesse got so many compliments on what a great job he did with the kids, and what an awesome and relaxed coach he was.  He really likes coaching these little guys.
