Pre-wedding events

We headed down to San Clemente for 2 nights for Colleen and Brandon’s wedding.  Neither one of us had ever been downtown or to the pier so we did a little exploring.

 

The kids burning some energy before the Rehearsal dinner.  I told both kids to float, Hailey did, Shane sunk fast!

Nat, Papu, Hailey and I all went to get our nails done.  Hailey was enjoying every minute of it.  The warm water, the massage chair, and the personal leg and arm massages.  She didn’t want to get out of the chair!  And then a little arm wrestling at lunch with Shane judging.

Easter

Shane was up at 7am ready to hunt but had to wait until sleepy head woke up.  Finally at 8:30 I told him he could shoot her with these.  It didn’t go over so well.  Shane was the sweet brother who brought Hailey her Easter basket in bed.

Shane was in so much pain from eating too much food.  He didn’t even make it to the dessert bar.  Hailey was all about the balloons, and face painting and getting chocolate all over her dress

 

Sweet 16 Tournament

We scored tickets to a doubleheader at Staples Center for the NCAA Sweet 16.  Jesse commented that he has never been around so many tall people, the crowds were “Real Basketball Fans.”  It was so much fun to see in person,and we lucked out with some good games.  Loved all 5 hours of it!

Balboa Park

We went down to San Diego for 2 nights over Spring Break and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Hobb.  We hit Balboa Park one day and went to the Science Center with Chelsea and kids. 

 

The next day we went to the Wild Animal Safari Park.  Here is a picture of Shane on the tram next to some Somali Wild Asses!

Spring Photos

Ear Piercing

The kids and i were at the mall and were walking by Claire’s.  I said to Hailey jokingly, “Want to get your ears pierced?”  She was so excited and said, “YES!” without hesitation.  I told Hailey that we should eat lunch and think about it and on our way out she could get it done.   So 20 minutes later she is sitting in the chair ready to go.  Not scared at all!  Shane thought it was fun too, a gun shooting my sister’s ears, awesome!  Everyone was happy.  She is ready for Easter and Colleen and Brandon’s Wedding.

Shane saw a TV special on Dairy Queen and the invention of the Blizzard and needed to try it.  We took the kids to a Galaxy game vs Costa Rica.  It was a high scoring game with lots of confetti flying in the air
