Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was at our house this year.  Lyla and Hailey helped Jesse make awesome bread

Katie and i took the kids to Sand Dune Park in between Shane’s soccer games.  Lots of energy burned

 

Boys went to K1 Speed and raced some laps, Shane and Eli fighting over 1st place.

Super low tide at Abalone Cove, couldn’t have been any prettier at the tidepools.

It was great to see everyone, wish i didn’t feel so lousy.

PV Extra teams

The 2 PV Extra teams after a 1-1 tie.  Love that Shane looks like a midget, he’s next to 2 of his basketball friends.

UCLA Tailgate

We went to the UCLA Homecoming football game with the Stiebels.  Only former student-athletes were invited to the tailgate that had a band, photo booth and great BBQ

Halloween

The first of many Halloween parties we attended.  Boobs!  By the end of the party we had a double mastectomy.

At the pumpkin carving party i was just a lame old UCLA track runner.

Our neighborhood block party.  Hailey entered every contest, here she is in the pie eating competition.  Tied for 1st

British guest

We hosted a British soccer coach, Callum at our house for 2 weeks.  He has been coaching Shane’s soccer team once a week since September.  It was fun to have a 22 year old to hang out with and get to know.  I guess this is what life would be like if i had a kid at 14 years old.  Callum was apart of our family and therefore played indoor soccer, ping pong, tennis, beach and went to a UCLA football game with us.  It was a great experience! 

El Capitan Glamping

I have found my new love- Glamping.  It couldn’t have been more perfect, 3 days with the Belofsky family.  The weather was ideal, the grounds spectacular, the adults relaxed and the kids had a blast.  It felt like camping yet i never felt exhausted or dirty, never cooked, we slept, were warm and comfortable with a cafe that was the bomb. This is going to be an annual trip.

No cars allowed on the campground so the kids could just roam free for miles and miles.  stress free

At the campground cafe, the kids learned how to charge to the room real fast!  They must have visited it at least 6 times a day

The pool was heated, a nice perk

There were very few people staying here, we were the loud ones

Entertained in the evenings by throwing things into the fire, glass bottles, bananas, mussels and trash
