Carpinteria

Our 4th annual trip to Carpinteria.  It's funny how each year is more fun and relaxing than the previous.  We brought Aidan this year, he make life easier for the Camp family.

We told Shane if he invited Aidan, they had to put up their own tent.  Our 12 person Taj Mahal tent wouldn't fit them!  They totally did it and they were proud, as was I.

 We played so many different sports and games with the kids.  I loved it and everyone participates.  It's going to be hard to beat them next year though.

Hailey's 9th Bday

Hailey put on a tennis skirt at 8am and was ready to celebrate her 9th Bday.  The party started at 2:30, man was it a long day.  She kept asking what time it was

 Trying to waste time before the party, we headed down to the beach to throw some frisbees, the kids new favorite thing to do

Finally, 2:30.  We invited 21 friends to a UCode party with the capacity of holding 20 kids.  So how many kids came?  22!  How in the world, but it all worked out

We loaded up 22 kids and took them back to the house.

Shane was the party coordinator and took his job seriously.  He even graphed out by hand tables to keep names and scores of everyone.

 Hailey said she got bored by the end, she does this fun stuff all the time!   After 4 1/2 hours of 22 kids she just wanted to open her many presents

As Hailey opened her presents it made me realize how well all these kids know her.  There was humor in some gifts, artsy stuff, sporty clothes, and legos- totally Hailey  My favorite was the gift from her soccer coach, a tennis skirt.  He jokes with her at every practice about wearing one.  I love the note her he wrote her............"Sole V loving"  is a soccer move that Hailey has mastered

Clippers Game

Xmas present finally put to use.  2 tickets to a Clippers game.  Always a good start going to eat at a trendy Brautz place.

Up close and center court.  Even the halftime show was worth seeing.  Hailey was mad she didn't get to see the Acrobat balancing Chihuahuas on his feet doing handstands.  

All the loot Shane won at the game.  Gift cards were being dropped from the ceiling and he got a few.  Was a good night of basketball and worth the wait

Spring Break HB

We headed down to Huntington Beach for 3 days for Spring Break, it's easy, fun and close by. We just load the car up with bikes, scooters, skateboards, roller blades and surfboards.  First thing the kids wanted to do was go to the beach and rent a Surrey.  It was more fun than i expected

Hailey spent hours in the pool.  She is all about throwing the tennis ball and diving to catch it.  Luckily the pool was 88 degrees so it wasn't torture to be in

 One of my favorite things on vacation is finding new and cool places to eat.  This was called Snow Monster.  Shane loved the logo so much he is designing his own tshirt.  Shane also thinks he might be able to beat Papu at double solitaire with these cards!

Hailey is my new little roller blading buddy.  She has really improved

On our way home from the Farmers Market.  They have it at every Tuesday night with bands, really a cool place to go.

So fun to just hop on some wheels to your next meal.  We had such great weather and a relaxing time 

Knotts

Hailey was invited to go to Knotts Berry Farm with one of her soccer teammates. When asked when our spring break was we realized they didn't line up.  The typical Camp answer, "Of course Hailey can go and miss school!"
