Lake Mohave

Tracey and Chris invited us out to their place in Lake Mohave to boat for a few days.  We skipped out of school a little early and headed for the desert.

Last Tourney for the Crushers

Last tournement for Hailey with the Crushers in San Diego.  It was a fun weekend of celebrating the past 2 years together and hanging out with some really cool families
We kids swap all the time with this group and here is Jesse taking care of Max who just ate some really Hot Sauce
Girls in the hotel, bonding one last time
Coincidentally, Shane's basketball team was in a tournament a few miles away and he was able to watch them play a game.   Shane in black
 Girls in the finals
Hailey holding up the trophy, Winners Again!
So happy that Hailey had such a great time on this team.  An excellent coach, fun parents and a winning team- it's hard to find all 3 of those!
Shane was a trooper all weekend watching a lot of soccer and wishing he could play
The 3 families that are leaving the Crushers meet up at Han's restaurant and he treated us to his Sushi restaurant.  A perfect ending to the Crushers story.
Here we are waiting for Han, at his own restaurant

Shane-O

I can't tell you how proud I have been of Shane the past 5 1/2 weeks.  He hasn't complained once about his injury and has handled it better than I ever would have.  Always in a good mood and the crazy thing is, he only eats 1 meal a day!
The one thing that has changed in the past month, he is now in a group text and actually responds!  That is huge, he never would have done that before the injury.  Most parents try to keep their child from texting, we promote it with Shane.  Here he is at the Tofu House filling up for the day

5 1/2 weeks of healing, Shane has made huge progress.  Still hurts to dribble a basketball but no more sling!

Camps/Jennings visit

Cathy, Duane, Katie, Eli and Lyla came down for a visit and brought a few really hot days with them

The girls thought their fort was awesome
The tide was bringing in some weird scalloped shorelines that the kids enjoyed running along

Poor Shane can't do a whole lot at the beach

Can you do this with a broken collarbone?  He has 7 more weeks of healing
 Video game time
