Park City run

A last minute work opportunity had Jesse and I picking up some cruise ship members and driving them to their homes.  We picked 2 people up at 10:45pm at LAX and had to drive straight, without stopping, and one lived Park City, Utah.  Plastic barrier was mandated and CDC said they couldn't use public restrooms if someone else was in it.  I felt like i was transporting a prisoner

 We made it to Park City just in time for a nice Mother's Day lunch in the park

 Not too far off the road was a place called Homestead Crater that Jesse's parents had been to.  We stopped by and it was pretty cool.  

 We didn't jump in as we didn't have a reservation but it was warm and clear

A few hundred miles down the road we stopped at the Red Hills Desert Garden which was huge and free

 It was beautiful and well done

 It felt so good to get out of the car, we were like kids on a playground

We got back in the car and immediately felt exhausted.  We drove to Vegas and checked in to the first hotel we found.   All these pictures were taken on Mother's Day!  Not how I anticipated Mother's day but definitely memorable!

Cinco de Mayo

Hailey and Shane have been working at the neighbors house doing yard work.  The lady, Dana, loves Hailey and took pictures of her working- as she would say- Girl Power!

Shane goes too, but not this day.  Dana is a character and I can't wait for the kids to come home to hear the stories they have to tell

Inches and Lbs

The kids are passing us up.  Hailey passed me up on height a few months ago

And Shane just passed Jesse up on weight, he's 170lbs.  We now call him the fatty of the family, and he's by no means fat!

My happy place has been the yard/bushes for many reasons, but today for this reason

I've been giving multiple neighbors truck loads of Yuka, and you can't even tell we are missing any

Jesse's week has so many different looks, I can't post them all!- sewing, cooking, gardening, demolishing, driveway repair, scuddle invention, beekeeping, electrical, plumbing, car repairs and consulting with family and friends whom always come to him first for advise

Track and Field

Shane finally got his uniform for Track and Field.  He says he feels like an idiot in the shorts, way too short for him

Last year in track, he ran 1 race and then got really sick and had to quit.  This year he ran no races but got a uniform.  Can’t wait to see what Track and Field has to offer next year!

Teenager

Hailey's 13th Birthday, QuaranTEEN style.  She woke up to Panera bakery and gifts
 Hailey wanted a birthday hug from Shane, this is about as lovey dovey as Shane gets.  He was a very good brother and did everything Hailey asked for on her birthday

At 2:00 we started driving around to different friend's houses that I had given a timetable to, it was all a surprise to Hailey

There were 13 families in on it and it took us 3 hours to complete!  Never again will all those families be available and so happy to see us come by!  I can't believe the extent some families went to, to wish Hailey a HBD.  People must have a lot of time on their hands

Shane said this is kind of a backwards way of throwing a Bday party.  Everyone is decorating and giving us food and presents and we leave the mess behind.  We handed out party favors to all the families that "came" to the party- succulents

Hailey had a dream the night before that no one remembered her birthday.  She felt the love today from everyone and this is only a few of the signs.  Her friends also sent her a super sweet video that they put together

It was a super special day for her and I think she was genuinely surprised by all the love

 To cap off the night, we played her favorite Just Dance song in her 4th cute outfit of the day

Definitely a day she won't forget!
