Jesse's 45th Bday

We went to Primo's 

It's hard to make Jesse a cake when he can't or won't eat it.  But he will eat donuts!

Since Covid, the kids haven't slept a night away from home.  For months we tried to find 1 night we could get away and we finally did.  And it rained and was windy the whole time.

I was sitting outside with the kids and I told Shane he better learn how to do something so if he ever goes back to school in person he can actually do it.  He kind of got scared and helped Hailey

School

1st day in PJs.  There are a lot of pluses doing school at home (but I can't think of any).   Neither Shane or Hailey prefer it.  They would much rather wake up early, see their friends, and be taught in person.  All the fun stuff happens at school.  I told Shane at lunch, he can have his typical lunch, an apple and granola bar and I can pretend to be in the amphitheater and put on a pep rally like they do at school.  He said that would really make it feel more like school again!

During one of Hailey's classes she texted me that she was hungry.  Her teacher saw her eating and commented on it and she told him that she ordered room service!

Shane has a lighter load this year since he took summer school
