Girls weekend
While the boys were gone for 3 days Hailey and I got to spend time with all the gals who were left behind. We had a nice relaxing weekend of beach, bikes, playdates, dogs, dinners out and there were no boys just girls. Nice change of pace for both of us. Hailey's friends this weekend ranged btw the ages of 1 years old to 13 years old, she doesn't care. I only took pictures at the beach, but the weekend was beyond gorgeous- nice and warm!

Best Friends
I have been told this story three times by three different parents but never out of Shane's mouth.....
I guess at school last week there were 3 boys (his closest friends) on the rug head-butting each other. The teacher asked them to stop and they didn't, so all three missed their recess and had to stay inside. Apparently, the reason why the boys were head-butting was because they were fighting over Shane (who wasn't involved and probably oblivious to the situation) Which one of them was Shane's best friend. They were on the rug saying, " No Shane is My Best Friend" while head-butting. I asked Shane why they do that and he just smiles and rolls his eyes, he doesn't know why everyone likes him so much. Not a bad problem!

"Daddy, come find me!"
Just about every day when I come home from work, Hailey drops whatever she is doing, runs into her bedroom, jumps into bed, pulls the covers over her head and says, "Daddy, come find me!" I then, must perform the following routine (else be chastised): 1) walk throughout the house "looking" for her and calling her name; 2) go into her room, look under the bed; 3) say "I'm tired" and lay down on the bed and her; 4) complain the bed is lumpy; 5) wonder out loud why the bed is lumpy, moving, and breathing; 5) pull down the covers and say "I found you." I love this routine, it never gets old. I hope it never does.
"Shane, you promised you would go play..."
"...with me at the beach." ? Nope
"...with me at the pool." ? Nope
"...with me in the blizzard."

"Can't Know"
One of my favorite Haileyisms: "Can't Know"
Translation: "I don't know" or "I don't remember"
