MVP

Shane hasn't been playing much basketball but he was finally able to play in a tournament and just went off!  Here is the text Coach Mike sent to Jesse after the game-
"I wish Molly could have been there today.  Shane was amazing!!!!  Clearly the best player on the court. You can tell in his movements, his confidence is at an all-time high.  Hes' going full speed, going right by the defense, attacking!  I hate to take him out."

Things are starting to click.  I'm sure he'd contribute it to all the one on one training he does with his mom! (Shane can't keep a straight face when he plays with me.  It's the one sport I play like a girl)
Champions, Shane had 4 awesome games

Business Trip

Jesse has been having to go up to Santa Barbara a lot.  The 1st time I joined him for 4 days.  The 2nd time he went by himself and the 3rd time the kids joined us and missed school

We got Chicks

The kids have been begging us to get chickens again and we finally caved in.  Hailey could barley sleep the whole week she was so excited.  She told us she wanted to be pulled out of school when we got the call from the post office.  We got the call at 1/2 hour after school started

Meet Eggbert, Fedora, Ken and Sweet fire.  Bob didn't do well on the flight and we had to lay him to rest
Chickenbutts
The cat really likes watching the chicks and batting them on their heads with her paw

Having baby chicks is such a chick magnet.  I can't tell you how many 8th grade girls have come over to see the chicks!  It's good for Shane

11th day of school

I couldn't get my act together to get a 1st day of school picture until the 11th day of school.  Translation- the kids kept leaving and not letting me get their picture together!  I don't think they changed much in those 11 days.
Say cheese- a Luke inspired picture.
Shane and Hailey were excited for school to start, and that's the truth!  Hailey said she had too many chores over the summer and Shane was sick of being home.
