Father's Day Weekend

We started the weekend Friday evening with a dip in the ocean
Saturday we went for a ride on the Strand to Martha's for breakfast
Sunday we went for a walk along the shore

We got Jesse 2 presents for Jesse, both had to be returned.  It's the thought that counts
Shane and Aidan spent 2 hours putting this chair together for Jesse.  When we sat in it, it wasn't comfortable and decided to return it!
We had a nice dinner at Papa and Papu's but no pictures to share

Shane-o's Back

I took Shane down to the beach to see if he can run without pain.   I told him to run slowly and go as far as he wants.  1 1/2 miles later at 7:10/mile pace he said he felt great.  First real activity in 8 weeks and he said it felt so good to be sweating again.   I couldn't keep up with him and the next morning I was sore and he wasn't!

Custodian

Mr Ryan is the custodian at Hailey's school.  On the last day of school we were leaving early and he yelled, "Hey, give me a hug goodbye Hailey."  I got to know him 6 years ago and he's always been so good to Hailey and Shane.  A lot of the kids are scared of him because he's  6'3" a thick dude with a very deep, loud, raspy voice but he's the sweetest guy.   He cares so much for the school and kids and it shows, he's  always winning awards for our school.  He came up to me and told me what a great job I've done with my kids, they are nice, level headed, not snobby and have a really good sense of humor.  He and Hailey joke around like brother and sister.  They have a game where they try and trip each other throughout the day.  He showed me the bruises on his legs from her.

Last Tourney for the Crushers

Last tournement for Hailey with the Crushers in San Diego.  It was a fun weekend of celebrating the past 2 years together and hanging out with some really cool families
We kids swap all the time with this group and here is Jesse taking care of Max who just ate some really Hot Sauce
Girls in the hotel, bonding one last time
Coincidentally, Shane's basketball team was in a tournament a few miles away and he was able to watch them play a game.   Shane in black
 Girls in the finals
Hailey holding up the trophy, Winners Again!
So happy that Hailey had such a great time on this team.  An excellent coach, fun parents and a winning team- it's hard to find all 3 of those!
Shane was a trooper all weekend watching a lot of soccer and wishing he could play
The 3 families that are leaving the Crushers meet up at Han's restaurant and he treated us to his Sushi restaurant.  A perfect ending to the Crushers story.
Here we are waiting for Han, at his own restaurant
