C'est Bon

December 27th -The Belofsky's got a new boat, C'est Bon, and invited us on the maiden voyage.  We ended up docking in Seal Beach for lunch
kids favorite spot on the boat
December 28th -David asked Jesse if he would help take his dingy 26 miles around the peninsula to the new dock.  Turned out to be a beautiful and relaxing day.  David even said that was the most fun he's had in a long time
The kids and I knew we would be able to spot them along the cliffs so we brought the vuvuzela to Trump National Golf Course
The dingy pulled up to the cliffs and they could hear Hailey blowing the vuvuzela.  Jesse and David looked like illegal aliens coming ashore
 Their view of us
December 29th -Hey Camps, want to go to Catalina with us today?  We weren't sure how long we were going or if we could even get a slip.  Leaving Long Beach for the unknown
 another beautiful day at sea
Joshua, the oldest is such a trooper hanging with these 3 knuckleheads
 C'est Bon, I'd say
 On our way
Like Hailey says, "Everything is more fun with dogs!"

We got a slip in Avalon, no problem!  Shane and Aidan driving the dingy, you only have to be 12 years old

 view of Avalon
Hailey night fishing off the swim step
Aidan and Hailey tying up
Morning walk to get the dogs out (not pictured of course)
Jimma, Hailey and I went shopping all morning, Hailey said she wanted to go into every store, so we did!  Jimma is a shopper too, so she loved it, having 2 boys.  A little shell hunting to fill Hailey's souvenir jar.  Jimma doesn't like her picture taken so I respected that on the trip
The water was so clear

David took the kids out fishing
We got a few texts while they were out.  -We got 1 fish, we got 2 fish, we got 3 fish and then heard nothing!  Hailey got the biggest one of the day, a Bonita
Guess how many fish they caught in an hour- 30 fish!
 most successful fishing trip yet!
The Casino from our boat
The boat technically sleeps 6, so 2 of us were outside
Grabbing breakfast before heading back home
I told the kids to put their arms around each other.  Shane was a sport and Hailey a turd, she said she was faking putting her arm around Shane
We left New Years Eve, 3 days on the boat and we could have stayed longer but we were all out of clothes.  None of us expected to stay that long.  Fishing, hiking, shopping, escape room, arcade, mini golf, so much fun
On our way back to Long Beach, we saw a pod of dolphins
What a fun week of spontaneity with the Belofskys.  They are so good to us
Now we need to go back in the summer time!
