Kona sights

Kiholo Bay-  We saw crystal blue water and a boat off shore so we decided it must have good snorkeling
The black rocks feel so good to sit on after getting out of the water

 He tried to bury himself
Fun little spot to snorkel
Getting ready to swim with the manta rays.  You have to go at night so we were waiting for the sun to go down.
Shane getting his comfy on, on lava rocks
Almost dark enough for the boat ride
There are only 2 places in the world to do this.  The boats bring you out to this spot and shine lights  down to attract plankton which bring the manta rays to eat
How we viewed the manta rays, holding onto a surfboard with lights shining down
The manta rays would get so close they would brush up against your body.  I was a little shocked at how big they were, especially up close, it was awesome
We went to one really nice dinner, at Roy's.  I love Hawaii, here we are in a fancy restaurant and we are not the most casual ones dress!

 Celebrating 40!
Looks like Shane's birthday, not mine
Kua Bay Beach was a nice little surprise.  Water was crystal clear, warm, with waves, sand and snorkeling
Thanks to Zinka, they practically sponsored our trip with hats and sunscreen

view from inside the car, trying to get Shane's attention.  Didn't work
The island was full of cats but this was a lot.  Kids loved playing with them
Historic horse trail though lava rocks, 35 miles of it
Petroglyphs all over the trails
Best shaved ice, made with all fresh fruits

Driving back to Hilo to catch our flight home

Hilo Bay
Jesse favorite tree in his favorite park
You will be missed Hawaii, you were good to us!
